reflection of Argument

I really enjoyed the argument assignment. By this time in the course I new and understood the program of macromedia and I had a lot of information connected to my topic of stem cell research. I had a lot of fun working on this asignment. I was able to scientifically create a professional argument for stem cells. This was focused on scholarly research and was supported through different kinds of multimedia. I felt as if we were taking steps through the semester to this one assignment. It was as if the hypertext, and multimodal were a ruff draft for this argument assignment. Overall I think I did the best on this assignment because I had the most information on my topic and I new the most about macromedia. This class was completely different than a normal writng english class. It was very benefitial to have this computer suppoerted writng class in order to understand how a computer works.

argument proposal

For my argument I will be discussing the adult and embryonic stem cells. I have researched this topic all semester and have found an endless amout of information. I did not know much about stem cells before this research and did not have a great foundation for my opinion. Now after reaearching each side of the argument of adult and embryonic stem cells I have found a scientific argument for adult stem cells. Eventhough embryonic stem cells are easier to find they have not been applied to illnesses to the extent of adult stem cells have. Most scientists have said that adult stem cells do not have the placticity of embryonic stem cells, but the stem cells from the blood or bone marrow are able to differentiate. This means that adult stem cells are able to act as all embryonic stem cells. So I would think to use bolth, but I am for adult stem cells...why? Adult stem cells unlike embryonic stem cells are less likley to be rejected from the body. For embryonic stem cells they would need antirejection drugs in a transplant situation. For these scientific observations I am for adult stem cell research.

reflection on multimodal

For the Multimodal project I felt went very well. I completed the task in the time given and understood what needed to be accomplished. I liked how we incorporated the podcast and the powerpoint. They contributed much to the assignment as a whole. However, I did not like having to buy the head set for the class. I only found one pair and it was fourty dollars for one assignment. I do not believe that it was worth the money for one assignment. I also liked how throughout the semester we focus on one topic it allows us to become minor experts in the area that we study for class. I guess it just prepares us for the argumet that comes at the end of the semester. I believe that the first assignment was a draft of this one because I did not understand the program or how the paper was going to work. Also, I would consider an alternative way to instructing new programs in the classroom for further understanding of the programs used. I think that smaller steps should be taken for better understanding of the assignements as well as the macromedia program as a whole. This could be done by establishing in class tasks instead of large projects. Overall I believe that the first assignment propared me for this one in a ruff draft perspective. By this I mean that I think I did better and understand more on this assignment.
